Welcome to Saints and Adders

If I can share one thing with the whole world, this is it.

First and foremost, I am a Christian. I believe with every cell in my body that Jesus Christ, the Son of the one true God is the way, the truth and the life. He is my Lord and Saviour. He is my example, my joy, my life. If I can tell the whole world one thing, that's it. I believe we were put on this planet to look after each other.
This is my dream.

After I learnt my youngest child has Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder I felt the shift work of my nursing job was too much stress for my already stressed out family to cope with so I have been at home with my family full time for nine years now. I miss my role in the community (and my pay!)

As a mother, like mothers everywhere, my role has been to feed, care for and nurture my family. There is something about holding a fat, contented, sleeping baby at your breast that is intensely satisfying but at the same time an uneasy feeling creeps in and makes you aware that not all children are so lucky.

There are so many children in desperate need of love, food, water, shelter, warmth, medical attention, education and protection.

For a long time now I have been wondering how I can use my life and make a difference in the world community.

I have a crazy idea, that just might work....

I have created a christian board game, called Saints and Adders, much like the old snakes and ladders game. It has two purposes. Firstly, my hope is that families will love and laugh together as they sit around the kitchen table, play the game and discuss their family values. The second purpose is to raise funds for children's charities. $9.00 from every $10.00 copy sold will go to children in need. I am particularly interested in the orphaned children of Uganda and the work Watoto Children's Ministries is doing for these children affected by AIDS and warfare as my eldest son was part of a mission trip there last year. I also admire the work of World Vision and I have a personal interest in helping children with Autism. I would also like to give back to the Royal Flying Doctors and the Red Cross as they have helped my family in times of crisis. If I can raise enough money, I plan to assist many groups and organisations.

There are so many children in need. It is my prayer that many people from around the world will purchase a game and will be encouraged by it and at the same time pass the blessing on to others by their generosity. Please help make a difference and let the blessings flow. May God's will be done.

Yours in Christ,

Anna
